Dan is Head of Quality Assurance at Audatex. He has been with the company for over seven years, starting in third level support, as a junior developer, progressing to Manual QA and then Automated QA. Dan’s latest mission has seen him promoted to Head of Quality Assurance.
What do you like about working at Audatex?
No matter what position you hold in the business, your voice is always heard from the top down. There is also a close family environment across the business, which means that you’ll never feel like just a number here. Everyone is working towards the same goals and this is what makes Audatex the business that it is today – an Agile and growing business.
What support have you received from your line managers?
I have been closely mentored by my line managers to help me grow into my next role and becoming a leader in my field. The support I have received from my line managers has made me feel part of a much bigger team and my attitude and approach to work has been supported continuously throughout my career.
What are your current career goals?
Over the next five years, I would like to continue to grow as a leader and my long-term aspiration is to be head of the Product Development department. It is important for me to have the respect of my team, I personally would feel I have failed if I don’t maintain the respect of my team. I will be working with the business to ensure the department and team I am responsible for grows with the business and we continue to be proud to be part of Audatex UK.
What training have you received since joining?
Since joining, I have been given very good training opportunities. To name a few, I have completed a C# training course, SQL training course, ISTQB foundation course and I am also booked in to go on ISTQB management training in May 2019, which I am really looking forward to.
What would you say to someone considering a career at Audatex?
I have been continuously supported throughout my career by Audatex. Outside of business hours Audatex has also been a consistent supporter of my fundraising efforts for local charities. I completed in the Marathon Des Sables in 2016 and took part in the Peru Jungle Ultra earlier this year. Audatex sponsored me to take part and helped me raise over £12,000 for my chosen charities.
I would say to anyone looking to joining Audatex that it is great place to work and the people really make it what it is today. There are always opportunities in the business to keep growing if you are willing to rise to the challenge.
