Inspiring the next generation to tackle the skills shortage
Solera Audatex in partnership with School of Thought are delighted to announce that Audatex UK has signed up as an official corporate partner
School of Thought was founded to address the skills crisis and the huge misconception about the automotive aftermarket in schools today. Working with the support of their corporate partners and ambassadors School of Thought aim to be the industries promotional voice and link with educational authorities across the country. Not selling vehicles, parts and supplies but selling the industry as a great place for young people to come and start a career.
Neil Garrett, UK sales director for Solera Audatex, says: “We are starting this year as we mean to go on at Audatex, looking for ways we can support our industry to bring in and inspire the next generation. School of Thought are leading the way and I am delighted to be working with them to show the next generation just how exciting our industry can be.”
“We’ll be showcasing our Qapter AI technology, to open the eyes of students and teachers alike to the wide variety of roles available in our industry, and show how technologies in our industry are at the forefront of the AI wave.”
We are also delighted to announce that Neil Garrett, Sales Director at Solera Audatex will be joining as a School of Thought ambassador to further support the excellent cause.
Dave Reece, Founder, School of Thought commented “Julie and I are delighted to welcome Audatex as a Corporate Partner and Neil as one of our Ambassadors. We have been tirelessly working on School of Thought since early 2019 and have connected the automotive industry to education reaching over 60,000 young people at hundreds of events with our ambassadors. We are now generating more interest in the industry from students, teachers, parents and careers officers. If you want to catch up with us we are both at the British Bodyshop Awards in Manchester next week and The Garage and Bodyshop Event at the NEC in June. We also have a special event for HR specialist in partnership with Think Logistics in Nuneaton on 29th June”.
Solera Audatex will be exhibiting alongside School of Thought at the upcoming UK Garage and Bodyshop event in June. Access to Solera’s Qapter AI estimating solution will also be given to the ambassador team to use at future roadshows and school events. Which the team hope will inspire the next generation to be involved in an industry that has unlimited career possibilities.
