Audatex Image Capture supporting safe, socially responsible working practices in the ‘new normal’

Audatex Image Capture solution allows Insurers and Assessors to interact with customers, while social distancing, in a digital first, contactless way.

As South Africa slowly begins to emerge from lock-down, communities and businesses are having to adapt to the new normal. Social distancing has already and will continue to have a huge impact on the way business will need to operate going forward. Using Audatex’s Image Capture solution users can interact with customers, in a digital first, contactless way.

Audatex Image Capture is an intelligent web application, that enables the user to send their customers a SMS request for images of their vehicle’s condition and damage, via their smartphone. Customers receiving an Image Capture request are guided by an intuitive online process to capture the required images, with no app download required. Upon return of images from the customer, the claims handler can then instantly access the images provided via a secure user interface, to begin triage immediately with increased accuracy.

In a world where visiting the customer may be unsafe, image capture allows users to practise social distancing, while gaining the necessary information from the driver. This can give the handlers an insight into the vehicles condition; is it drivable, does it need to be towed, are replacement parts needed and how costly might this repair be vs is it a total loss. The handler can use this information to make informed decisions on the next best action, improving customer satisfaction and triage accuracy. In the case of a total loss Image Capture can help speed up claim resolution, or if a repair is possible the handler can use the information provided to arrange safe delivery or collection of the vehicle to begin the repair.
